Have one SE/30 with an Asant Ethenet card (two pieces) but the machine is not recognized in my small LAN. Here are the details:
Cable modem/Router Daytek, Vigor 2200E iMac FP 800 MHz/768 MB running OSX ver. 10.2.6 iMac DV Graphite 400 MHz/ 1024 MB running OS X ver. 10.2.6 SE/30 16 MHz/80 MB running OS 7.5.5
AppleTalk active but Ethernet cannot be used. Make sure connections are correct and than reverts to Printer Port, AppleShare empty, OpenNetwork on.
TCP/IP says: Connect to Ethernet using DHCP server
On the back of the SE/30 the green Led is on and on the router the Led at the connection point is also on. The back of the SE/30 has two connectors, one AAIU and one RJ-45. Next to these is a sliding switch but no indications for high or low positions. Tried it in both positions but no results.
File Sharing is on but no connected users.
What am I doing wrong? Are the cards fried? How can I test or repair it?
Any help greatly appreciated, greetings, Andr.
