I was under the impression that installing the IIsi ROM into the SE/30 precluded the need for Mode 32. Is there any advantage to having the IIsi SIMM over just using Mode 32? >>I was going to mention this as well, since I've installed one of those[IIfx ROM SiMM] on >>my SE/30. Depending on what OS you have installed, there may or may not be >>some extra work required to get it to work properly. What kind of extra work? One of my happy memories, on a visit to northern California a few years ago, was going thru a pile of old Macs in a junkyard in Berkeley with Kyle Hansen and Andrew(Aqua)....looking(unsuccessfully) for IIsi's with removeable ROM SIMMs!!! I think I have a photo somewhere. ;-) Saul Broudy Philadelphia, PA USA -- Compact Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/>.
