What do you mean off topic? The subject inroduced by the original poster is "Help, I'm in a rut!" and someone replied that perhaps he could learn to program with his Mac. Then someone inquired on where to find books with programs that could teach programming on the classic mac. That is why I posted that I had recently bought a C++ book that had that capability, and asked someone if they knew of a book that had just C. Nothing off topic about that imho.
