IT's not impossible. But tough. The MacTV motherboard has a TV tuner on it.
You'd need to adapt a tuner somehow to get it to work.

I own two Mac TV Tuner/motherboards. One works with no sound. The other
gives chimes of death without any RAM chips in the slots. I've set it up
once with the no-sound motherboard and gotten TV reception, but it froze
after just a few minutes of channel surfing.
