To allenpau, Ken, Gamba, and Andrew "The Mac Freak":

Thanks for the suggestions. My External APS SR 2000 1.2 GB HD is now up and
running. All I had to do, as I found out myself, was to plug in the
terminator cable onto the bottom attachment of the external HD, set the SCSI
ID number to 1, and plug the 25-50 SCSI pin cable on the top attachment of
the HD. That simple. When I got my external HD from eBay, I never knew a
terminator from a SCSI cable.

But again, thanks for all your suggestions. They will prove useful in the
future.

Which brings us to another issue.

I copied compressed files of 7.5 on the external HD (which I copied and
compressed from original diskettes), wishing to use that same drive as
startup disk so that I can fix the 80 MB HD inside the CC.

However, whenever I try to install it, the installer looks for Disk 1 when
it's already there in the HD. For those confused by this issue, what I'm
saying is that how come the installer looks for Disk 1 when it's already
there in the HD? Unfortunately, the installer has no provisions for me, the
user, to help it find where Disk 1 is. Why can't it proceed smoothly?

So now, how do I install 7.5 which is technically already there but just
can't be seen by the CC?

Do I then drag all my system files on the internal HD to the external HD?

Also: how do I make an emergency diskette, with finder and disk first aid in
it? I guess all I want to do is to make sure that my internal HD's volume
and integrity and all is AOK.
