Hi All:

According to lowendmac.com, the quickest and easiest way to upgrade the
Color Classic would be to get the motherboard of an LC 550. Pardon this
stupid question but would the mobo of an LC 575 or 580 do? After all, from
the looks of it, they have the same form factor and they belong to the same
series.

Also: for those of you who've tried this, is replacing the mobo on the CC
with an LC 5XX an easy process?

Again, thanks. I appreciate the replies that I get from this list. Truly, I
do. :)

575 is right. 580 is wrong for a simple upgrade.

Checkout http://www.colourclassicfaq.com/mobo/mystic.shtml#Q2.1.1 And links from there for enought reading to keep you going for a while! ;-)
