Is the speaker working? Does the Plus *beep* at startup? Do other programs make noise? I only ask because if the program acts normally on another machine then it might be something as simple as the speaker wire or a control panel volume setting.
The sound works fine on the machine -- and actually the game itself even makes a limited range of noises (the paf of a canon, the ung of a sword strike). But it doesn't play any music.
