I would like to know if anyone has Photoshop 4. I'm upgrading my Performa 550 to a 575 logic board, 68040 w/FPU, 36MB, 2x 512k VRAM and Asante ethernet card, and want to be able to do photo editing & slideshow display. I have 7.5.5, is Photoshop 4 the best version for this Mac? Will I be OK with only 36 MB of RAM? I have seen Big SIMM, which claims they can break the 36MB barrier and offers 64 MB & 128 MB 72-pin SIMMS, but at a severe price - $199 & $499!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't know how they are doing this, if it's even possible, but WAY expensive on a Performa! Is this at all possible? Are there other vendors more reasonably priced with 64 MB or 128 MB 72-pin RAM that works on the Performa 575 logic board? I'd be interested if someone has found a way to do so without breaking the piggy bank wide open.
