Anybody know the best way to restore a compact Mac case to it's original,
un-dingy color? You know, where the case has become discolored over time and
has kind of a dirty yellow look to it? What cleaning products or procedures
have worked best for you? Also, what's the best way to "gently" polish over
a scratch in the B/W monitor glass? I am dealing with an SE/30 I received
recently, and it has suffered it's share of abuse, and it needs a lot of
cleanup TLC. The floppy is acting like it won't read or write. When a blank
disk is inserted, it of course wants to initialize it, so I say Yes. After
it does it, it verifies and then says Initialization Failed! Tried this with
3 or 4 floppies, they are good in other compact macs. Have I just got a
cruddy drive maybe? I planned on getting it out and very gently cleaning the
heads, what should I use, H20, alcohol, etc? The floppy has probably been
heavily used over the years in a classroom. It has the original 40mb HD and
5mb RAM, so I have plenty of work to do for expansion yet. But there is
quite a bit of software on it as well. I love the screensaver, "Dark Side
of the Mac", played with it for a long time. Anyways, I need a few ideas on
these problems. Thanks all!

'Til next time,
Gary
