sounds like your 6-chip simms are 1MB.  but ian is right, you'll need 8 or
9 chip simms.  you will also want to get a battery, although that is not
likely the source of your problem.  if i'm not mistaken, the mac plus uses
a 4.5V alkaline PRAM battery.  if you can't find a replacement, you can
fudge one with 3 AA or AAA batteries in a holder.  make sure you get the
polarity right.
