My color classic, just obtained, has a purple screen. I bump it and it goes away. I don't think this is normal, even though I have never owned or used a CC before. Anyone know what the problem is?

ALmost certainly a bad wiring connection or dead solder joint. Check the little PCB on the end of the CRT is properly located, and that all wiring connections (plugs/sockets) are properly made. If they are, it's a case of looking for bad solder jpints on the main analogue board and the PCB inside the tin case on the end of the CRT. Make sure the CC is disconnected from the mains at all times you're working on it, unless you _really_ know what you're doing!
