Messed Up StyleWriter

I received an apple stylewriter printer with my CC, but unfortunately 
it does not seem to work properly.  It receives the command to print 
from the computer just fine, but the ink does not seem to function. 
When the page comes out, it is completely blank.  I have tried 2 
different cartridges, full, to no avail.  Any ideas?
