Interesting idea.  I've heard this anecdote before, but does anyone have any
scientific explanation as to why something like this would render a dead
motherboard functional again?  I have my SE/30 motherboard right now on
"pots and pans" setting in the dishwasher and the people around here are
starting to question my sanity.

On another note, would a dead battery in an SE/30 cause the computer to not
boot?  No bong, no video (except wavy bars) nothing?  I remember when my LC
III battery died, and all that happened was that the clock lost it's time
when I powered down.
