Interesting idea. I've heard this anecdote before, but does anyone have any scientific explanation as to why something like this would render a dead motherboard functional again? I have my SE/30 motherboard right now on "pots and pans" setting in the dishwasher and the people around here are starting to question my sanity. On another note, would a dead battery in an SE/30 cause the computer to not boot? No bong, no video (except wavy bars) nothing? I remember when my LC III battery died, and all that happened was that the clock lost it's time when I powered down. -- Compact Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/>.
