Just looked again at my 128Kb user manual. It uses pre-production Macs in some photos, so the rear view of the Mac on page 6 shows, at the top left of the back panel, the multi-coloured 'Apple' symbol in-board of a blank rectangular space. In production Macs, not only would the space carry the 'Macintosh' logo, but the positions would be reversed.
The 512ke User Manual carries no photos of that part of the back of the Mac.
