Hi -

There is a 50pin SCSI terminator that is specifically made for internal
usage ...this would go on a plug at the END of the cable

Here's a couple of pictures of the correct internal terminators currently
for sale on eBay (I don't know the sellers ...the references are for
illustrative purposes only):

..and here's another

You don't place SCSI terminatation in the "middle" of your device cabling,
ever ...for a compact Mac internal drive cabling, you would have end of the
cable plugged into the logic board, the next plug into the drive, and the
final plug would be the terminator. If you have external drives, you will
still have to have [external] termination at the end of your SCSI chain.

I generally make my own cables, but you could just buy an internal SCSI
"two-drive cable", which will have three plugs on it. Here's a picture of
one on eBay (same caveat as previous):

I'm not sure that I recall it making a difference, but it's unnecessary to
jumper/activate the internal drive's termination to enable it (after all,
the drive termination wasn't working with the Mac anyways, which was the
reason for trying this alternative).

Most recently, ISTR that it was necessary to use an internal terminator with
the replacement internal 9GB drive in my SE30.
