Ehh, either way ther are a number of those FPD cards with the Apple-based
connector "out there" for those who still want to use the Two Page or Full
Page monitors with Compacts.

Jeff

Yeah, and this is the way I'd advise Patrick to go. I don't know anything about Apple's cards, but a Lapis DisplayServer Plus PDS card should not be too hard to find and supports the Apple, Samsung, Sunkyong and PPL Multiview II Portrait monitors as well as VGA (640x480) monochromes. The Lapis ProColor Server (several types with different color depths) would work, too, and allow your SE/30 to display the 256 shades of grey which the Portrait display is capable of, or even color on appropriate screens. The SE cannot, not having Color Quick Draw in ROM. But always keep in mind what Jeff said: the PDS slots in SE and SE/30 are different, you cannot swap the card from the one to the other. If you can lay your hands on a Lapis card but can't get the software, contact me. Have fun!

Cheers, OM
