Well, I got it to boot up, after opening and cleaning it. The video is  
still a little screwy and there is corrosion from one of the screw that  
looks like it leaked across the analog board all the way to the front.  
It only boots about 50% of the time, so I guess I'll renew my quest for  
a working machine. :-) At least I got a keyboard out of it.

That's the answer. And remember there are plenty of working Plus
Motherboards out there. That I have several working ones here will  
comfort
you if your attempt at fixing it won't work.
