Hello. My disk HD20 doesn't want to appear on the desktop. It makes of noiseSalut Daniel,
in order to go up. But the Sytem 6.0.3 on my Mac Plus demand in order to
format the disk. I said: Yes. The system erases the disk and writte:
"Creating Directory". The icone of the clock becomes the classic arrow. All
seems to be passed normally. But the disk doesn't go up. With a new
starting, the system wants again to erase the disk. HDSetup looks for a SCSI
disk and doesn't find anything. Does it exist a specific tool in order to
format this HD20?

to make it clear: you are talking about a HD20, connected to the floppy port, not a HD20SC, right?. So a priori looking for a SCSI disk will yield nothing. The HD20s sometime have a problem to be recognized, mine takes up to two restarts on the Plus to be found. Is the HD20 quite new to your Plus, or is a system already installed on it? Which one? Could it be the HD cannot be mounted correctly because the system installed on it would need HD20 INIT? On the other hand, if you have a 6.0.3 system disk that works on the Plus without the HD, I cannot see why you should run into this problem, as long as the HD20 in question has not gone bellyup... Do you have any chance to test this HD20 with another Mac? Where are the Plus gurus out there, Jeff? Marten?
