Hello. My disk HD20 doesn't want to appear on the desktop. It makes of noise

format the disk. I said: Yes. The system erases the disk and writte:
"Creating Directory". The icone of the clock becomes the classic arrow. All
seems to be passed normally. But the disk doesn't go up. With a new
starting, the system wants again to erase the disk. HDSetup looks for a SCSI
disk and doesn't find anything. Does it exist a specific tool in order to
format this HD20?
Thank you beforehand
As a starting point, have a look at the notes at http://www.mandrake.demon.co.uk/Apple/hd20.html.
I'm pretty sure that most of the HD20 repair tools will work on a Plus but NOT with System 6. The last time I searched, Google was able to locate the required tools but if you're stuck, mail me off list.
