I've been trying to get a SCSI CD-ROM working on my Classic II. I have two such drives, an HP SureStore and a NEC 3x. Both can connect, and show up under SCSI Probe, but neither will mount. I have Sys7.1 and Apple CD-ROM 5.4 on the Mac.
For the CD-ROM, download <http://www.io.com/~trag/SPEEDYCD.SEA.hqx> That's the driver that NEC supplied with their 3X drive way back when. I'm not sure how late of a system it will work with.
Isn't the SureStore a tape drive? Or did they make CDROM drives under that name? If it's a tape drive, you need Retrospect.
