I am delighted to report that my beloved SE/30 lives again, after a logic board transplant. My baby fell victim of the dreaded SimasiMac Syndrome. I tried everything save soldering on new caps, which looked to be a task beyond my skill. Nothing worked. Last week, an SE/30 logic board popped up on eBay, and I grabbed it. It arrived today and installed with no problems. I held my breath when I turned on the power, but the magic smoke did not escape. Instead, I was greeted with a friendly chime and a smiling face.

Life is good.

Special thanks to Macanxiety on eBay.
