Still enjoying my once-again-working Mac Classic II, I was just pondering whether or not I should upgrade the System software. It arrived with System 7.1, and I have not upgraded it as yet. I was wondering what the most stable and effecient System software is for a Classic II? Is it worth upgrading, or should I stick with 7.1? I was told 7.5.3 was the best bet for my Performa 630CD, and I've been running that for over a year now with no trouble. Also, what are memory requirements for System software above version 7.1? My Classic II only has 4 MB of RAM currently.
And while we're on the subject, how about a Mac Plus? My Plus (currently non-functioning, but that will change soon) has 6.0.8 on it (I *think*). It currently only has 1 MB of RAM, but I think I'm going to upgrade it as soon as I get it running again. ------------ Nat Hall [EMAIL PROTECTED] ------------ -- Compact Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/>.
