Thanks for the replies, Kinda impressed that someone managed to decode my mixed up english in the email. Anyway, a follow up question, when I have a nic in the SE, do I need some special extensions to the system to get it to work? (7.1 & mactcp) (Been around the MS world to much so I dont remember how it works)
Credit goes to Byron for that. ;)
Whats the card? Some get by with the standard enet extension, others need their own. The other thing to look out for is the hub not seeing a Asante card. As I dont know your lan contents the last is just something to check. When the nic has the correct extension installed the ethernet icon should appear in the MacTCP window. On the mac closest to me I configure the "ethernet" icon rather than ethertalk.
Good luck
