Netatalk will work on several Unix variants, but I think it needs
some kernel support (at least it does in Linux).  I'm fairly certain
that I've run it under NetBSD/mac68k.

There is a difference between LocalTalk and AppleTalk: one is a
subset of the other, and the subset is for the serial port (IIRC,
the generic version was designed to the OSI model).  For the life
of me, I cannot remember which is which.
