This is frustrating. I turn the SE/30 on, it bings...then nothing. I reboot, it bings then straight away gives me a sad mac with 000000F; 0000001 (there may be more zeros in there). I reboot, some other weird random thing happens when it gets to the 'Welcome to Macintosh' screen: the text isn't in the box, or the box is malformed, and it crashes. This goes on, sometimes for three or four more reboots, until finally it starts perfectly, without complaint, and works for hours.

The weird drawing of the box in the WtM screen and the Sad Mac code makes me think perhaps ROM. That sounds bad. Ideas?

Cheers,
Charlie
