I have a Mystic made using a 580 instead of a 575. I am finding it impossible to connect an external hard drive to it. It will do a zip drive, but once a external hard drive is connected, it will not open. Well, it won't open fully. It will bong and start to open, but will not finish. I've tried everything I know, but nothing seems to help short of disconnecting the external hard drive. Anyone have any ideas?
The IDE hdd isn't happy giving control to the scsi external? Try a different id# on the external or atleast see what you can see booting from a floppy or cd if thats possible.
I'm not sure what you mean by "won't open", whats on the screen when the machine hangs?
