Yes, thats the bit of advice that should have been taken on board last year. The answer was valid, and possibly useful as its the main place for info about mp3's on 68k, while google would be required for the second program.

You seem to see malice where none exists which is quite offensive.

No, not malice, just rudeness.... which IS offensive, and not just to the recipient of your little "flowery" hint...

"How about you read the FAQ's http://macfaq.org/index.shtml or try google."

C'mon, "spare" ... your original answer above WAS kinda harsh. It's not your intention to send newbies running away, is it? Would not it have been just as easy to give the answer?!?

"spare"? ok, spare I shall be, Craig. Kinda harsh? nah not really anything near harsh, you've read the FAQ's I take it? Send newbies running away with a link to the 68k mac FAQ's? How do you figure that one? Answer? to which question? the 68k mp3 player? there are two, one is very hard to find the links provided in the FAQ's are a start if you know how to use them. To the other questions, well why do you think its called the 68k FAQ's?

Have you tried to download either file? or use either file? could you supply both files?

Like I have stated several times in the past, SOME of us either (1) do not know what or where a FAQ is, and (2) some of us do not have time to research it. Be honest; doesn't it take a lot LESS time to simply ask the list a question?

Yeah you and a few others, and the point is, what, your more delicate than I, should I have put a :) on it for you? grow some skin.

(1) I supplied the link to the 68k FAQ's, bookmark or download a copy, it needs to be shoved up there without the page specified so a newbie will read and hopefully find chapters relating to other questions. I'm not interested in why its no longer in the footers as it was for two years + - I see nothing wrong using it as a resource as it supplies many links (still vaild) to all sorts of uses for your mac.

(2) I work 10x6, what makes you think I have more time than you to look for answers to your problems, is not a few quick links, cached if possible or a pdf - html faster, quicker and more educational, is not embedded links more convient than a search, is not the name of a target file a better start for a search the no idea at all?
Is it just more fun seeing your name in the send field?

(3) I rarely ask questions, the only ones I do are after a fair search, I'm in a position to research things at a fair speed, I try to add either useful input or a different, emulated angle to a discussion, these lists are a good resource dont abuse them.

And I know... somtimes some pretty b.a.s.i.c questions are posted, but U know what I do? Just DO NOT RESPOND! Especially if the simplicity of the question offends you for some reason...

Craig, what can I say? I posted the link to the home page of the FAQ's, contributed to by these lists. MP3 on a lowend 68k mac is not basic. I see you posted the colorclassic link, that was asked for so its different?

Thanks for your input.
