Mac Plus Best System Software

I have a Mac Plus 1MB Ram and a Mac Plus 4 MB Ram. My question is about 
which O/S is best for these systems??? A late version of system 6 (6.08), or 
an early version of system 7??? they are just for word processing and 
playing early 68k style games. Thanks For Your Input Gals & Guys...
