This is just a longshot request to see if anyone has a spare 1 or 2 GB SCSI hard drive for a compact mac. I've been putting together an SE/30 to install A/UX on--a friend had a couple of spare drives to chose from, so I got the memory, an ethernet card, etc. and finally put everything together this weekend. The problem is the drives--one was filled with had sectors and unusable, the other has a bad bearing, sounds like a jet taking off, and intermittently reports itself as unavailable. I installed the core A/UX files on the 80 MB drive the machine originally had, but an 80 MB is only enough space to install the core files--no X server, man pages, etc.

So before spending more money buying a pulled drive from Megamacs for $25 and postage I thought I check to see if anyone has working drive they can spare...
