The way to do it is to get a hardware router with a build-in modem
(like the Airport Extreme with the build-in modem) or get a software
router (an application) that resides on your G3 and have your 460
connect to the internet through that.  If you need permenant dial-up
connection, you can get one of those freebie software that send out
ping every so often to keep the line up.
