Hey gang, In my recent "quest to find the Internet" with my Mystic I began to wonder what the advantages are with using a PDS ethernet card as opposed to a comm slot ethernet card? I was forwarded an interesting link (that I must have missed in my earlier searches at jag's) with some information suggesting that originally, CCs and LCs only had a PDS slot, and that with the addition of the Comm slot, a software workaround was needed (just for 7.5?) to make the computer default to the PDS slot for ethernet (at least that was my understanding of the article). Anyway, here's the link so you can interpret for yourselves.
www.jagshouse.com/commslot.html So what's the most common weapon of choice? Why? -- Just as an update to those that have been helping and keeping track, still no luck just yet. I keep stumbling onto new information and new things to try, all with the same result so far. -Craig- Thanks for the offer on the 575, I'll email you off list to discuss some pick-up options, I've got a couple more things that I want to try first though! And of course, I would have to have done the "VGA" mod, not allowing me to use an original CC MoBo again! DOH! Thanks again! -c -- Compact Macs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/>.
