Based on this I messed around w/ macTCP on the SE (using "Obtain address
manually"-- "Dynamicly" wouldn't give me those critical last 3 digits, just
192.168.2.0) until I got TattleTech to report...
=D7 MacTCP is Running =3D Yes
+ MacTCP Version =3D 1.1.1
+ IP Address =3D 192.168.2.105
+ Gateway Address =3D 192.168.2.1
+ Default Domain Server Name =3D netvision.net
+ Default Domain Server Address =3D 194.90.1.5
=D7 Ethernet is Running =3D No
+ EtherNet Hardware Address =3D NA
=D7 Current Connection Type =3D EtherTalk Phase 2

Another reason you aren't able to ping is that you are using a non-routable private IP (RFC 1597). You need a 'real' IP address, probably/preferably one on the same network as your Default Domain Server Address. Change back from a manual IP address to a dynamically assigned one. You may also need to statically assign the DNS (Domain Name Server), but the rest should be assigned by the DHCP (Dynamic Host Control Protocol) server.
