As long as I don't see the "last change" flags in the system software files
(and can be sure they're not fakes) the thing is not kosher to me. BTW, the
auction ended with no bids (starting bid was 299 Euros).
Many thanks for that. It will be interesting to see if it reappears. The seller has too good a feedback record to be a regular 'con man'. Anyone with a reasonable Mac knowledge would have known that trying to run 8.5 or 9.x on a 040 Mac is never going to work!
