Hello,

I need some help. I have an iBook that just recently
died. It had a slow, painful death of which it
suffered about a week. :( Being a poor college
student, I cannot afford to get it fixed. (Being a
poor college student, I did not buy the extended
warranty.) In the meantime, I am having to use my Mac
Classic, which I love just as much as my iBook. The
only problem is that I can't seem to connect to the
Internet. All I want to do is be able to check, send,
and receive email. I purchased an Asante EN/SC
external adaptor a few months ago. (It was new in the
box on eBay.) It powers on just fine; my computer
seems to recognize it; I just can't obtain an ip
address for some reason. It is connected to a hub,
which is connected to a cable modem. I am also
running System 7.0.1. This sounds like a huge favor
to ask, but if anybody is willing to call me to walk
me through setting this thing up, it would be greatly
appreciated. I can call the number back on my
free-weekend cell phone to not cost anybody toll
charges. If anybody is interested, please email me
privately [EMAIL PROTECTED] for my phone number.
Thanks so much...

Ben
