Hi all,
I'm trying to get file sharing working between my Plus with 6.0.8 and my iBook with 9.2.2. But when I bring up the chooser on the plus and choose appleshare, no servers appear.
Can you tell me if I've maybe left something out?
Here are the files in my Plus' system folder that I think may be relevant:
Asante EN/SC - version 6.0.4
AppleShare - version 3.5
AppleTalk - version 58.1.4
Backgrounder
EtherTalk Phase 2 - version 2.5.7
Finder - version 6.1.8
Network - version 3.0.2
Responder - version 2.0.4
System 6.0.8
I have Network set to EtherTalk, AppleTalk is active.
On the iBook side, I've got system 9.2.2, filesharing on, I'm sharing both volumes on my hard drive (mac os extended 13.72 GB, mac os standard 349 MB), appletalk is active and set to the ethernet port.
I've got the Asante Mini EN/SC adapter plugged into the Plus SCSI port, and an external SCSI drive (that boots the Plus) is chained off the Asante and terminated. I have a crossover cable between the Asante and the iBook. The Asante power light is solid, and the Link Integrity light is blinking. The Asante manual seems to imply it should be solid on the Mini, but I'm not sure.
I've tried swapping the cable. Any other ideas?
