Hmmm. Looks strange to me.

Where is the pb getting its internet connection? Does your Airport
Base Station do a dial-up for you?

I would have expected (since you mention sharing an Airport connection)
something like:

Wall=>Airport Base Station[modem]=>pb Airport Card

More info needed, I think.
