Hi,
Question: do you think I could use any other type of battery adapted to
this battery compartment? I could not find this battery model here in
Brazil. It's very similar to a "AA" battery shape, it's only a little
bit thicker and it's 4.5 volts (not 1.5 as the AA model). By the way,
the battery is the Alkaline type, not a NiCad rechargeable.
Another solution that I have used is to get a4.5 volt flat battery,
bend the contacts over, and wedge it in the slot. Of course, you can't
put the battery cover back on, but it works fine.
