Wait to I install a Mac Mini in my Color Classic (I feel the collective
gasp of terror made by the list at the thought of me trying to do this
- and the number of queries that will thus flow...) :)

I read a few years ago that you needed a 450 Mhz Pentium II/III
processor to
decode DVDs (or full-screen MPEG2) in real time. So, comparing the
horsepower
between Intel and Motorola families, I bet you'll need at least a 233
Mhz G3

order to do that - I can't say it for sure, but the limit must be
somewhere
near there. Because of that, with a 601 processor, the DVD-ROM drive
will be

use only as an storage device...

Wonder if that's enough? Though I heard somewhere that the hardware
is not
capable of processing that much video (at least in any kind of
smooth way).
Perhaps this is why I never did it. :-)
