It's no longer a challenge. The Mini will easily fit in the CC chassis. A modification to the chassis might even allow the Mini to sit so the DVD slot fits at the right height for the floppy slot without any mod. to the Mini. If not an extension cable for the DVD and a custom bracket will put it at the right height with the Mini out of its case. I suspect when the price of the Mini drops, the most requested mod. info will be how to adapt the CC monitor to accept a VGA input from the Mini, which others claim to have been done successfully. Port extenders get the Mini's power, Firewire, USB, Ethernet, etc. to the CC's rear hatch (unaltered for a change!). But unless you're plugging in an external HD, camera or the like, AirPort & bluetooth will take care of everything else including the keyboard, mouse and network connection. The mini has a built-in fan and since the only other heat generated is by the video, it shouldn't be worse than a TV so you should be able to lose the fan and go with just the convection the Mini will set into motion. Quiiiiiiiiet. Mini vMac and BasilliskII emulators will run under OSX, so you'll finally be able to run every Mac system since 1.0 right through System 7 & 8 on one machine. Go MiniCC! Where the past and the future collide.

Wait to I install a Mac Mini in my Color Classic (I feel the collective gasp of terror made by the list at the thought of me trying to do this - and the number of queries that will thus flow...) :)

Has it been done yet?
