Ohhh! :�) It's very true. And the buttons go all wonky in monochrome - the greyed-out options simply disappear. Typing "google.co.uk" into the address bar, the machine takes about 5sec to catch up. Actual rendering is reasonably fast but the UI is horribly slow. The NS2 UI works OK, but it comes up with errors on Google and falls flat on its face confronted with, say, Slashdot.org. iCab copes but the rendering time is like /half an hour/ to load basically the top-left corner of the page. :�) And this on a 4Mb connection via Ethernet. I'd not like to try it on a modem... I think the machine isn't on its knees, then, it's lying flat on the ground, face down and begging for mercy. My lodger tried to open his homepage on it, out of curiosity. He has an ASCII-ized photo of himself on it: http://www.earth.li/~jon The Classic II - in NS2 - does this cool movie-computer type effect where it renders the text so slowly that you can watch the text appearing gradually, line by line, across and then down the page.
