More detailed history is required with an old Mac. What circumstances led to
this problem? Was it working normally the last time you started it? What is
the exact pattern you are seeing on the screen? Re-seating everything is
always a good first step. Make sure all the connections are tight and
everything looks good. Then if the problems persists, describe it in detail
including your usage history. Many problems of this nature are also caused
by the analogue board as well.
