Richard:

If your short on money, I've got a ton of 1mb SIMMS Send me 5
bucks and I'll mail you a set.
Dont forget to check the RAM upgrade section on LEM about your
machine. There's a jumper you have to take off to use 4 1mb SIMMS
and move, if you use 4 512k simms.
You may have a memory upgrade already and nobody changed the
jumper setting.
To check the memory, look at one of the simms, one of the numbers,
the long one, will have, close to end. The numbers 256,These are 256k
SIMMS or 512, these are 512k SIMMS or 1000 somwhere in the number,
these are 1mb Simms, Maybe. On some Simms, this doesn't apply at all.
There is usually a dash number, -6 & -60 are 60ns
8 or 08 are 80ns etc. Plain ordinary 8 chip SIMMS work the best
They dont have to be 150ns. any thing faster will work too. If
you dont get them from me, be sure they're in pairs and all the same
speed and read LEM to see where bank 1 & bank 2 are. I believe they're
front & back, not side by side.
Each bank has to have a matched pair. all four need to be the same
speed.
Be very carefull chabging SIMMS, These machines are old & brittle
the little tabs that hold the SIMMS in break very easily.

    Good Luck, keep me posted

       Jim

P.S.
You could probably boot your machine without an upgrade by starting
with extensions off by turning the machine on and holding the shift key
down untill it says, welnome to macintosh Check your memory anyway.
                       Extensions off
