That is possible.

With respect to upgrading the ROM on a SE/30, you may notice that some older 
games will not run right with the 32-bit clean ROMs...  Discovered that when I 
tried to run the original version of Arkanoid on my IIsi.  Kept crashing.  On 
my Plus, it worked great.
