It does seem to be the logic board caps that are prone to go and it is only
the silver electrolytic ones you need to worry about.  There is only about
eight caps from memory 4 near the analog board connector and 4 near the rtc
and sound chip etc.  I've replaced the 4 near the sound chip and used PCB
cleaner on the whole board and things seem ok, I have got another board
which I may have a go at in the next few days with similar problems.  Every
cap I pulled up I managed to break at least one of the pads so I had to
trace back on the circuit board to solder the new caps on so I wouldn't
recommend if you haven't held a soldering iron before!
