All applications go full screen on three different machines of mine ... except OpenOffice. Switching desktop-effets 'off' is a matter of convenience for me, but a serious issue for many new users. I'm glad to see it's targeted for 10.04.1. Meanwhile I'm presenting from PDF. I really appreciate your work, guys!
