Update (went from ubuntu3 to ubuntu5 in below) - now better but still not entirely 'ok'
dpkg -s compiz|grep ^Version Version: 1:0.9.6+bzr20110929-0ubuntu5 Launch chrome, move mouse to left, nothing happens.
