I'm too of a noob to call it relevant with certainty but yesterday all was running rather smooth for me and today it doesn't. While not noticeable that much in the desktop browsers suffered particularly. I couldn't watch low q youtube neither with flash nor with html5. Choppy scrolling too.
The only thing I recall I've done to my system is an update from the test ppa. I restored my disk image from yesterday and it all runs similarly 'rather smooth' again. After the update I ran the updater to see how my backup differed (update-wise) from my todays install that was struggling so much. I see: Installed version: 1:0.9.6+bzr20110929-0ubuntu6vv9 Available version: 1:0.9.6+bzr20110929-0ubuntu6vv10 and other vv9->vv10 packages from the ppa Other packages are insignificant IMO: clementine beta, I don't use anyway and libt1-5 Thinks I did before backing up my nicely performing install: - changed: from GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="pcie_aspm="force" i915.i915_enable_rc6=1 i915.i915_enable_fbc=1 i915.lvds_downclock=1 radeon.modeset=0" to GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="pcie_aspm="force" i915.i915_enable_rc6=1 i915.i915_enable_fbc=1 i915.lvds_downclock=1" I hope I'm not wasting anybody's time. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of compiz packagers, which is subscribed to compiz in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/764330 Title: [regression] Moving windows lags behind the mouse by 1-2 seconds; appear to freeze when dragging.
