Using the "alt" key for the HUD also breaks things like alt+tab in a VirtualBox VM:
Reproduce by: * Create a VM with a guest that uses the alt+tab to switch windows (e.g. Windows, Ubuntu etc.) * Boot it * Launch two programs * Try and alt tab between What happens: Seemingly randomly, the HUD appears and takes focus away from the VM.
