Happens quite often for me when using Alt+Left and Alt+Right to change directory in nautilus. nautilus changes directory appropriately, so Alt is being pressed first; then the HUD appears. I don't see it with some other key combinations involving Alt, like Alt+Shift or Alt+Tab, that are probably handled prior to and not allowed to reach an application. I'm on 12.04 and pulled updates earlier today.
