I think this bug is the combination of multiple problems we already know about:
1. NVIDIA uses much more CPU than any other graphics driver.
2. [bug 1049214] NVIDIA is extra-sensitive to the X event queue. So compiz
0.9.8 with its extra XSyncs (to avoid bugs) can be slower on NVIDIA than 0.9.7
was.
3. [bug 1025586] Compiz 0.9.8 is slower at moving windows than 0.9.7 was.
This seems to be an event feedback problem, made worse by #2 above.
